Rippln, a startup network marketing company, is an incentivised sharing application that helps you track your social graph across the world! How's that? Well, it's common knowledge that smartphones have revolutionized the way people communicate, play games, go places, and live life. With apps for Facebook, Twitter, FourSquare, Pinterest, Google+ and others. Everything is now nearly an instant away, at our fingertips.
According to a recent survey, out of almost 7500 smartphone users, 79% get on their devices within 15 minutes of waking up, and 62% immediately grab their smartphone as soon as they wake up. And all day everyday, users are playing games, sharing websites, recommending places to eat and visit with their friends.
Only who is getting paid for this behavior? It's typically the cell companies, internet companies, and app developers that are benefiting. Imagine if you got paid every time you introduced your friends to a new app/service/product? That's what Rippln is about; rewarding the social influencer who's promoting the product.
As best as I can tell. Folks I know and trust are now involved, and I had a very lengthy talk with someone high up the Rippln chain who was able to answer many questions. Though not all public, there's good people behind this, with serious funding too.
This is my opinion of course, but if you are asking, “is this one of those pyramid things?” Lets consider that for a moment. Is Network Marketing or Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) bad, or illegal? We'll according to a Forbes article, Is MLM a Bad Word? the answer is definitively, "no". Sure, there have been bad players out there before, and there are strict rules and regulations concerning how they should operate, but that does not make all network marketing companies illegal.
Start asking, “Can people make money with this?” The answer to that question is yes, people do have the ability to make money with this program. It is a choice that anyone can make and no one is required to do so. I'll address this topic more in another post, however, you can join Rippln for free, remain in Rippln for free, and just see how far your ripple go. If you like what you see, then you can jump in.
Pun intended, but for a start-up, this small tech company has been making quite a ripple in the social media and multi level marketing space these past couple weeks. Controversy is great for driving traffic to websites, so don't take every blogger's opinion as "gospel"; a little bit of truth mixed with a little bit of not having all the facts can lead to a very skewed picture.
Rippln hasn't even launched yet, as of the day of this post, and they can already boast about having over 750,000 members! That's simply incredible. Check out this >> "get in the ripple" video and decide for yourself. It costs nothing to join; it costs nothing to sit on the sidelines as you watch the ripples grow. It will cost you, however, if you didn't join to lock in your position during the pre-launch phase. They'll be going public very soon.
The jury may still be out, but as you can tell, I'm not sitting on the sidelines with this. I consider the risks here to be pretty small, but the rewards to be potentially pretty large.
