Amen. Thank you for mentioning the "families".

For Freedom and For Peace. Having served during a time of peace, humbles me to those who serve now. Prayers for continued safety for your sons Pat, and for all those who serve now.

Had my usual moment of silence at 11.00 am today, which I think is more a Commonwealth tradition, but this is a day to honor those who dedicate their lives to protect others. "Thank you" doesn't seem enough, but I am thankful, grateful and humbled.

Thank you to all those families who lost love ones during the last century, of all wars worldwide, for keeping so many of us free.

A heartfelt "thank-you" to all those who serve and have served. They and their families give so much so that we may enjoy the freedoms they afford us.

I love this Veteran's Day Poem!

Because of You, Unknown Soldier
By Courtney Tanabe

Because of you, I am here
Because of you, I am able to live freely

Yet I do not know you
And I have not done anything for you

But there you stand, ready to fight
And there you are prepared to die
For me

You've fought before
And you'll fight again
For someone you don't know

So thank you Unknown Soldier
Fighting for me

I'm here because of you
And I owe my future to you

I am extremely thankful and grateful for all those who serve and have served. ~S

In honor to those who have given so much… and worthy of so much more in return.
