You get an idea. It's a good one. You spend time creating it in your mind, considering how would it look once it comes to fruition. How would you make the world a better place with it? You do some research and talk to others. You are getting excited. You are about ready to start ... and then something happens. Lo and behold -- someone else not only had the SAME idea, but while you were pondering ... they got into action!

The point you ask? The point is this: none of our ideas belong to any one of us. They are gifts from the Universe. You can call the Universe anything that works for you. It is however the ONE universal source of all things and all ideas. Many say God. Others say Allah. Some say Buddha or Krshna.

And everyone has access to all ideas based on their level of awareness. If one person doesn't act, another one will. Undoubtedly you have had this happen to you at least once -- a new invention or idea is publicized and you say "hey, I had that idea already!"

You didn't ACT; someone else did. Here you can apply the timeless truth: What you think about you become. It is in an idea that all physical manifestations begin. Everything is really created twice: first in an IDEA, then in physical form.

Ideas are spiritual seeds which require a human being to nurture and grow that seed to fruition. No humans -- only green and blue. No buildings; cars, homes ... only nature.

The ideas flow from the Universe, to and through each of us and then back into physical form. We may be driving home and an idea pops into our head about something we've been thinking about. That is the seed -- the idea. If you are concerned however on your drive with another thought, the idea will sluff off and make it's way back into the Universe and flow into some one else's mind. Then they can plant the spiritual seed within themselves and move it toward manifestation into the physical plane.

All seeds take time to grow. But first we must plant them, right? Planting a spiritual seed or idea means creating a crystal clear image of the idea in our mind consistently, over time, and TAKING ACTION on it. How long it takes to manifest or sprout is not up to us. The Universe has a set of Laws that work all the time every time and keep order.

So if you have an idea and are getting impatient waiting for it to manifest, remember, that idea is not yours and if you do not hold and grow that image and act on it, someone else will.

Great post, Leslie! And it is so true, when ideas come to you, you have to act immediately in order for there to be results in your life! Thanks again!

Thank you all so much for your wonderful comments. The 'idea' for this blog came in this morning (from the Universe) and so I took my own advice! I acted on it and can see it was the right thing to do.

I know how VERY busy each of you are and it means even more to me that you took time to ring in here. Thank you again.

Agreed. On the somewhat negative side of things, acting on every idea can be just as damaging. You end up giving too little of yourself in too many places, and then nothing at all comes to fruition and you're burned out.

My husband put it best when he said: "People like you and me aren't where we want to be because we have too many ideas. We have our hands in every cookie jar, because they are all 'great ideas'. Our friend on the other hand--he's a millionaire with the life he always wanted because he only had ONE idea. It wasn't what it is now, but it is what it was. And that's all he knew how to do, and that's all he did for the last 10 years."

Hoping this will inspire a post from you on how to rein in the good ideas, if that's even possible, Miss Leslie!

Great post Leslie! I was actually talking about this on my group call yesterday and on a one-on-one! We're on the same 'wavelength!' LOL!
I always remember your 'seed' analogy and not only that we have to act on it, but that we have to protect it, and sometimes give it time to germinate! We can't force it out of the ground!
One of the big things we do in my groups is getting clear and focus on our purpose. Then we have a visual of what that is, and a place to 'put' those ideas. Key is (as to michelle's point) it has to serve our purpose! If it doesn't align w/our purpose, passions and goals, then 'it's a great idea for someone else!' (I suggest think of someone else that it would be a good idea for, and pass it on!)
(I'll be happy to share that 'exercise' & visual if you like michelle:)

And let me add that if you don't know your purpose yet (and I have found it is a process and takes time) then pick a HUGE WANT and set IT as a goal. Then only take on ideas that move you in that direction.

Michelle, you are right ... and the blog post is coming! Reining in those ideas takes time as well and it occurs when you have worked the Universe into a frenzied momentum!

Thanks you two. You are my favorites!

Michelle -- I LOVED THIS!!

One sound idea is all it takes for success, per Napoleon Hill as articulated in Think & Grow Rich. Edison worked through inventing the incandescent light with nearly 10,000 tries. The key is 1) it was toward his purpose 2) he acted on his idea 3) he persisted regardless of what others thought (8th principle of success) and 4) he had a burning desire for another means of illumination (maybe his eyes hurt from reading by candle or fingers scarred from extinguishing flame).

Without a purpose or a goal, we are like whirling dervishes -- reaching and grabbing at everything that looks intriguing. It's called BBB (busy being busy) and takes you no where. Is it bad to do this? Of course not. Most people do precisely this .. until that is, they are on their death bed and THEN they get their purpose.

Our purpose is the same. I can tell you but you still have to discover it on your own from taking an inward journey. Most folks are afraid to start that journey. It's that journey however that is referred to in this statement "happiness does not come from reaching your goal; it's from the journey toward that goal."
