Today the legendary Zig Ziglar passed away. He has been an iconic speaker for as long as I can remember. I am SO thankful for having had the opportunity to meet him in Huntsville Alabama, and have dinner with he and his wife Jean, and daughter Julie.

He will be missed, but never forgotten!

I remember when you shared that you had had the chance to meet and have dinner. Great memory.

Zig lived a life worth note and emulation. RIP

That's a great picture - I'm jealous you met him and I didn't! I did see him speak once, but it was in a huge auditorium seating about 25,000 and I was in the very back. That's the closest I ever got. :/

Wow! Michael, now I do feel good. Glad you said something. I had the opportunity to see him speak a few times. Even got to shake his hand and chat with him a bit. But I did not get a picture! It's like we are talking to about meeting a rock star! Is that what they refer to as geekin-out? Regardless, I think it's safe to say he was a very likable person. We should all be so lucky.

It was a freak chain of events that began on twitter :)

Back when Zig and I both wore younger men's clothes I started listening to his cassette tapes and over the years had occasion to see him live, as well. He was funny, entertaining and above all, a very wise man. Thank you, Zig.

Heather, you are very lucky to have met him and "the redhead". He will be missed. Atleast I still have all his tapes and CDs to listen to him. He was a very sweet and inspiring individual!
