Today the legendary Zig Ziglar passed away. He has been an iconic speaker for as long as I can remember. I am SO thankful for having had the opportunity to meet him in Huntsville Alabama, and have dinner with he and his wife Jean, and daughter Julie.
He will be missed, but never forgotten!

Comment by Michael Kimsal on November 29, 2012 at 3:24pm That's a great picture - I'm jealous you met him and I didn't! I did see him speak once, but it was in a huge auditorium seating about 25,000 and I was in the very back. That's the closest I ever got. :/

Comment by Edward Anderson on November 29, 2012 at 4:26pm Wow! Michael, now I do feel good. Glad you said something. I had the opportunity to see him speak a few times. Even got to shake his hand and chat with him a bit. But I did not get a picture! It's like we are talking to about meeting a rock star! Is that what they refer to as geekin-out? Regardless, I think it's safe to say he was a very likable person. We should all be so lucky.

Comment by F. Glynn Rodean on December 1, 2012 at 1:10pm Back when Zig and I both wore younger men's clothes I started listening to his cassette tapes and over the years had occasion to see him live, as well. He was funny, entertaining and above all, a very wise man. Thank you, Zig.
