Protect Yourself (& Your Followers) from Twitter Spam

The spam phishing messages have been rampant on twitter for the past few days. To protect yourself and your followers,
Don't click on DM links,
Change your pw, or
Chk and see what apps you've given access to in your acct (this is a good routine practice!)

anyone that has access to your account will be listed under 'connections' which you see in the photo above (can't tweet from your acct w/o being here.) so just revoke that permission. I even recommend doing that with some of the 'stats' sites if you dont use them often, it's not a big deal to just click 'allow' when you go to use it.

Thanks for the info Heather. I think I have an auto reply DM for new followers that I did not intend to setup. How can I check that or better yet remove it?
