Some people refer to the glass being half empty or half full, depending on their perspective. I offer, yet another perspective. When you truly want to grow, you need to empty you glass (or cup).
Whether you are attending a seminar or class, to learn something that can enhance your business, you need to go in with an open mind. To get the most of what is being offered, you need to forget about your past experience or knowledge and leave them behind. Forget about your likes and dislikes. Be non-judgemental so that you can see the truth. By doing this, you wont limit yourself to the potential.
When you empty your cup, you will be able to accept more information. I myself, as well as others I know, have been in a position, where we knew a lot about what was being taught. By taking on an attitude of already knowing, I wasn't allowing myself to get what I could out of it. By opening my mind, I am able to learn something new, from anything or anyone. There are lessons all around us. We just have to be open to receive the info.
