Sometimes things seem to be working against you, then all of a sudden, BAM! something goes your way. It is important to never lose sight of the big picture. Even the most successful people suffer some setbacks. You just have to be ready to make lemonade out of lemons
We recently found ourselves in a difficult situation. We were trying to help fix a problem caused by another cleaning company. We fixed their problem but caused another one. The customer insisted that we discolored their carpet on their stairs. I went to look at it and didn't see anything, at first. I looked at it again and when I looked really close, I could barely see some discoloration. Even though it was barely noticeable, I offered to replace the carpet.
I went to the store, where they bought the carpet. Luckily, they still had that carpet available and was able to take care of this customer.
As luck might have it, we have developed a great relationship with this carpet store and have referred one another. I won't work for those people again but I did make a great contact. I really have them to thank for that. And we still do work for the other cleaning company.
I was able to turn a bad situation into a positive. I turned lemons into lemonade!

Comment by Drew Becker on November 27, 2012 at 11:50pm I like how your attitude allowed you to fix the problem rather than fix the blame. Good for you!
