Dynamic Transparency Leads to Natural Accountability

At a recent discussion about social media in business, the insightful presenter illustrated from raw experience, how once you make yourself available to fans/customers through your statements, announcements and publicity, you will instantly be held accountable. Two things about that struck me as a foundation for natural accountability:
1. Transparency: everybody sees me (and I can’t stop it once I’m out there)
2. Self-interest: I want them to say I look good (and they can say anything they want)
The striking thing is that this happens completely naturally, with those two pieces in one place or situation. This transparency is a dynamic moving target, a struggle or a dance between provider and consumer, as equals. A struggle (perceived disharmony, disconnect, mismatch or outright displeasure), becomes a dance if perceptions adjust through communicational shifts to a better match. It is poetry of supply and demand.
Apply this in any situation, and you can have project and process management at its best: naturalistically driven accountability behavior,
by design, and it is self-optimizing to the real purpose. The latter demands and compels brutally honest management and thereby holds management accountable! The medium is a dashboard on a cloud with multi-/equi-lateral access. If tomorrow never comes . . . already see the future in my hand(held device), I got a chance to throw the switch, and tomorrow comes yet again.
