I typed with a mechanical typewriter all through high school. (The kind that you can't even plug in). I remember it very clearly; there were some keys that used to stick to the paper. There were some keys you had to hit extra hard, because otherwise they wouldn't make a full impression. I remember that if I pressed "backspace" too hard (or not hard enough), it would knock the carriage out of alignment and result in typing letters on top of each other. Then, I'd have to start over.

Okay then, so now what do you do with it? That's the real issue. Tonight I'm taking action on my list. Pick one. Do it.
Here's an idea for you. Make a list of about 40 or 50 things that make you happy when you are down. Yes you can do that. Just start and they will roll off your tongue. Now if some of these things are work things, kinds of work you might love, writing, designing, coding websites, helping others, eating chocolate - oops that's not work. The idea is you might find that…Read More
Here’s a question you may never have considered. How many people will be cleaning out their desks today, and leaving their current position? How many of those people will be moving to something else within their company? How many will be moving to a new job in a completely different company? Based on the size of our population and our economy, I wouldn’t be surprised to find that the number of people leaving one job or starting a new job runs in the tens of thousands each and every…Read More

Blog every day for thirty days. Can they do it? Can you?
Here is the deal. One is a writer with an existing blog she has not visited in a while. Recently ending a…Read More

The fluctuating weather is a very cruel joke on those of us who do not have a thyroid! I have thermals on today when a few days ago I wore a cutesy cami with a light sweater. Oh yeah, I didn't want to have to turn the heat back on either, but...
HOWEVER, Thank You, God, for making the cancer near my thyroid known and able to be removed to no longer poison my body. Thank You, God, that I even have thermals to aide in warming my body and then for the days I can control my body…Read More

Dealing with negative emotions is a universal experience. In last week’s blog post, I wrote that,
“…you will always have to overcome some combination of the following challenging emotional states to keep your word: fatigue, discouragement, loneliness, overwhelm, doubt, nervousness, humiliation, frustration, resentment, powerlessness, anger, feeling inadequate or imcompetent, and even jealousy of others.

Have you ever asked yourself…?
What is my true Purpose in Life?
What will my Legacy be?
People the world over have wrestled with these questions since time began. For some people these are answered at a young age; for others, later in life. For the majority they are never answered.
On life’s journey we are presented with opportunities to answer these questions but, either we don’t see them or we choose to ignore the signs. I, for one, believe that everything happens for…Read More
