- About my Business:
- Very early on, I became aware that commercial jewelry was not readily available to accessorize the fashion sense of a non-traditional woman. The dynamics I envisioned in jewelry for women whose choices in clothing aren’t found in a department store catalog or typical shopping mall needed to be created.
I desired to bring my own artistic flair to the market place, and that is what motivated me to launch Just a Tish Designs. When you see my pieces, I am hoping to release the confident awareness of a woman’s regal beauty from within and make the statement, I know who I am.
My collection of jewelry pieces are carefully born from my love of the medium itself. Each piece is like a spiritual offering from the earth. The properties of each stone are incorporated into a process of emotional expression, the rich metals and minerals are strung together to secure us to sacred origins and lift us to consecrated heights. Each piece is an extension of subconscious perception and inspiration forged into the final statement.
I am a published jewelry artist. My work can be seen at http://www.beadage.net, and in Bead Trends Magazine. Locally my work can be see at The Nature of Art Gallery in Holly Springs, Tirza's Imports in Apex, NC and Wake Forest, NC and Gifts With A Heart, Raleigh, NC. If traveling to the west coast, you will also find me at Handmade Galleries, LA in Sherman Oaks, CA.

- I am often distracted by shiney things and love to chase after shadows. I love to laugh, and laugh loud. I always look for the bright side even when I am at my lowest. I love to create and explore for information and for new locations.
Everything inspires me. I want to do it all and there is never enuff time in the day to get it all done.
There comes time when I need to regroup, decompress so to speak. That is where my creating comes in. I can pour myself into my projects and get lost in their creation. I create jewelry, sew, work with polymer clay, write, and draw.
When I am in the real world - I do tech support for a gaming company.

The pressure is on!
Valentines day is approaching fast and finding us unprepared. Most of us will exhale an explictive this Saturday as we realize what day it is and rush out to dump $20.00 on the obligitory a box of chocolates or flowers. Februarys Issue is out!!
It is so exciting for me to get the issue of Bead Trends in the mail that has my pieces in it.
February was a real encouragement for me, with two submissions.
There is a fun challenge each month to think ahead six months for the issue requesting submissions. Back in September, one of the categories is Valentines. It was difficult for me to wrap around that concept, coming out of summer and rushing into fall. I am still thinking warm and bright colors, tank tops and shorts. February is a distant… Continue

Getting your name out there.
I was pah-roosing around on craigslist (as I normally do when bored at work) looking for something interesting, when a post caught my eye - donations for an auction - more precisely - art donations for an auction.
