Real good Tim! I think it's ok to be a little bit weird...it makes my kids laugh and that in itself is a gift. In this kind of stressed out world of teens, growing up and having to deal with what they have to. Some things never change!

About my Business:
http://www.deagsales.com/

At Dancing Elephants, we are dedicated to helping you to be successful while selling ethically.

Why should you care?
The historical sales tricks, gimmicks and manipulations are quickly noticed by the savvy, experienced buyer. In addition, information is at our fingertips as never before and technology is bringing this news to us in more ways daily.

This access to information means that news about how companies conduct business is quickly disseminated. Each day it seems the news exposes another company that tried to take a short cut or lost sight of the ethical standards that are important to its customers and employees.
About Me:
Timothy Moore is the principal and owner of Dancing Elephants Achievement Group of Raleigh, North Carolina. He is also a contributing author of the new book “Six Secrets of Sales Magnets - How to attract all the business you want.” His mission, and in fact the only thing he gets paid to do, is show entrepreneurs and salespeople how to make more money in less time than they ever thought possible. He fills his days with teaching classes, doing private coaching and making presentations around the country.

Tim has almost thirty years of sales and training experience for such companies as Pepsi-Cola, Gillette, DowBrands, and L’Oreal USA.

He was the National Sales Director for DowBrands Professional Division for seven years and was the Director of Business Development for a division of L’Oreal USA for two years.

He was named to the DowBrands Diamond Club in 1992 as the top salesperson for the company. Tim was also awarded the Gillette VIP Award in 1987 recognizing him as one of the company’s top sales professionals.

Recently, Dancing Elephants Achievement Group was the recipient of the Cary Chamber of Commerce Small Business Employer of the Year Award.

Tim earned his Bachelors of Arts degree from Elon University. Tim is active in his community and serves on the Triangle Alumni Board for Elon University, is the Vice President of the Cary High School Imp Club (Athletics Booster Club), is a founding and former board member of the United Professional Sales Association of the Research Triangle Park, and is an Ambassador for the Cary Chamber of Commerce.

When not working, Tim spends his free time obsessively pursuing a round of golf under 90, snow skiing, scuba diving, playing basketball and softball or making plans for his next travel adventure. (Recently he fulfilled one of his travel goals as he cruised from Atlantic to Pacific through the Panama Canal)
My Ideal Customer is:

It’s Good to be Weird Sometimes!

I stumbled across a quote by Paul McCartney recently that got me to thinking.

“I used to think that anyone doing anything weird was weird. I suddenly realized that anyone doing anything weird wasn't weird at all and it was the people saying they were weird that were weird.”

Now, in my mind, as a child who grew up in the 1960’s and early 70’s, Paul McCartney and the rest of the Fab 4 were about a cool as humans could possibly get. So when I read the quote what I felt was that I wish I ha… Continue

My Momma Makes the Best Dressing!

As many of my friends have come to know, I love learning about the history of people and events. I am always asking “How did this get started” when I see a tradition. For me, an avid historian of American culture and personalities, it is not enough to simply celebrate. I always want to know why and how something we do together today got started.

Thanksgiving in America:

Almost 400 years ago, the Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Indians shared an autumn harvest feast which is acknowledge… Continue

Have I Been Preparing for the Funeral?

A very old man lay dying in his bed. In death's doorway, he suddenly smelled the aroma of his favorite chocolate chip cookies wafting up the stairs.

He gathered his remaining strength and lifted himself from the bed. Leaning against the wall, he slowly made his way out of the bedroom, and with even greater effort forced himself down the stairs, gripping the railing with both hands.

With labored breath, he leaned against the door frame, gazing into the kitchen. Were it not for death's agony, he… Continue

Preparing for Excellence with a Plan and a Purpose

For the past four or five weeks every weekend has included a trip out of town for a day or more so it was with much anticipation that saw this past weekend approaching. My wife Linda and I were staying at home. It just felt good to be saying those words. Little did I know that I’d be spending my weekend on the list of “one thousand chores” of things that needed to be done around our house, but my wife had a plan and was full of purpose for this day!

We awoke on Saturday early and headed straigh… Continue
