About Me:: I am a true entrepreneur at heart. I love success stories and learning what makes the people behind them tick.

I was also part owner of a family bbq sauce business. We made Bill's Black Label BBQ Sauce (www.BillsBlackLabel.com), my Dad's sauce. My sister and I named the product, designed the label, developed all of the marketing materials and set up the website and online store.

I owned a tutoring franchise for a couple of years. We provided in-home tutoring services to students in Southwest Wake County and Southern Durham.

My job for many years was in software testing. Developers would throw their code over the fence at me and I'd try to break it and provide feedback.

For about 10 years, my husband and I traveled all over the country competing and teaching ballroom, country, and swing partner dancing. We judged and choreographed for other competitive couples and eventually formed our own West Coast Swing team right here in Raleigh. We choreographed, coached, and competed with our team for two years and did quite well! While we were actively competing, we owned and operated Daydream Dance Studio, teaching private and group couples dance.

I enjoy several hobbies - couples dance, painting, and I am learning to make jewelry. I'm also a hopeless DIY'er.
