Things in Clayton are good! It (slightly) reminds me of home. I grew up outside Toronto and went to college in Toronto. Hopefully we'll meet up soon.
P.S. There is a great Canadian group in the Raleigh area if you decide you want to celebrate Victoria Day, etc. Let me know if you're interested. You might already be a member.

Absolutely
About my Business:
'simple practice' is a sole proprietorship for one-on-one coaching with an emphasis on spiritual development; public education courses and public speaking. I bring my education and spiritual background to a variety of topics: healthy lifestyle practices, work/life balance & personal development. I would like to facilitate workshops in small and medium sized businesses for employee development; our organizations are as healthy as their employees and many would benefit from some new ideas for managing their lives and 'lifting their spirits'.
There is a lot of talk about purpose and authenticity in our current culture and I believe that for many this is not just about the work they do, it's a deeper yearning to find meaning in life it self and for many of us this yearning or "awakening" starts around mid-life. I believe purpose starts with the way we 'are' in the world. So much of the work involved on a spiritual path is fundamental to the way we relate to our lives - to our friends, our families, our colleagues, our work. 'Lifting our spirits' is how many of us find peace and integrity.
About Me:
My dream: peaceful hearts, education for all, meaningful lives.
I'm from Montreal. I have a background in psychology and education and several years of spiritual practice: meditation, spiritual psychology and yoga. I like reading, writing and dabbling in art. Favorite places: Montreal, the beach, the mountains, the dinner table with my family and/or friends, talking and laughing. I am married and we have three children (two dogs, one cat.)
My Ideal Customer is:
An individual who would like to understand how spirituality could enrich their life. A person who wants to understand them selves better so that creating lifestyle changes has meaning for them. (diet, exercise, relationship with money, relationship with partner) Organizations who value the health and worth of their employees and seek to help them help them selves in areas of their lives that contribute to their performance both on the job and in their personal lives.
My Ideal Referral Partner is:
I've thought about this a lot in the last little while and I believe most people who know they are drawn to some spiritual work will refer them selves. And! I hope a friend, family member or employer who sees the potential in a friend, family member or employee but doesn't quite know how to nurture it and bring it out of that person. A health professional whose client needs help creating diet/exercise practices for a healthier routine. I have also helped women re-direct their lives for a career change or to get back to school/work.
