About my Business:

I am a certified and experienced trainer and instructional designer.

I hold a Master of Education degree in the field of Training and Development (T&D) from North Carolina State University and have completed additional course hours towards a doctorate in Training and Development with an inter-institutional (NCSU & UNC-CH) minor in Instructional Design. I have over eighteen years of experience teaching system and application software related computer courses as well as designing and creating instructional, desktop publishing, and web page materials.

The focus of training and development is to identify and, through planned learning activities, help to develop the key competencies which enable individuals to perform current or future jobs. The term "training and development" is commonly used by business and industry to describe the education and training which takes place under their auspices. This program track proposes to train specialists to work in a variety of roles within this field, and students may choose course work throughout the School of Education to make up their programs.

Both the Training & Development (T&D) program and the Instructional Design program fall under the Department of Adult and Community Colleges in the School of Education at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC.

About Me:

I am true to my Myers-Briggs personality type which is ENFP - The Visionary. You can read all about my "type" at http://www.geocities.com/lifexplore/enfp.htm ... I have never met a stranger which is the perfect personality type for a trainer. The personal computer is my hobby as well as my profession.

One can often find me enjoying outdoor activities such as camping, boating, canoing, sailing, hiking, greenway walking, snow skiing, and more. Having said that, I am usually up for dinning out and taking in a movie.

I love to travel and I'm usually the first one in the car when someone yells, "ROAD TRIP!"

Finally, family is very important to me and if you want to strike up a conversation, just ask me about my family ... and make sure you have a little time to chat because I will want to hear about your family as well.

My ideal customer is anyone who wants to learn new computer software skills or is in need of someone with instructional design, graphic design, and desktop publishing skills.

If you want to learn how to download software from the Internet, for example, I will show you how to do it and write clear instructions so you can do it again later.

If it's not your job and you really don't want to learn that new computer skill, call me anyway and I will come take care of the problem for you.
