Hi Nick,
Yes, I got the invite from you through Inside 919. I enjoyed the group. I'm hoping I might be able to come back and visit and then possibly join.
Have a good week-end.

Hello NIck,
We have a company in our building that we refer clients to use. We also use others, I encourage all my clients to look at a few before they pick. I would be happy to include you on that list if you like.
I am not sure if that is the same Mike Miller. The Mike I know, I knew from Highwoods Properties, he was the IT trainer for Highwoods. I go by Derek, thanks for asking.
Although I recently sold property/casualty/life insurance for State Farm, most of my professional experience comes from the time I spent as a Survey Manager at RTI International. That position was a unique mixture of operations/project management, social research, and business/systems analysis (simply put, creating new processes or revamping existing systems to make operations run more efficiently). I'm most interested in utilizing those skills again rather than continue in insurance sales.
Thanks for your kind welcome, and I hope to run into you at an offline event sometime soon!
Where I am especially proficient is in jumpstarting companies that have a product or sevice that are "first to market". (I would have been the person google would have called when they were working out of their garage.) However I have worked with Pharma companies, BioTech, Gaming, Restaurants, Bakeries, and other traditional industries whereas a small business was looking to grab some market share but getting "attention".
