About my Business:
I am a professional harpist and teacher, and run an active freelance entertainment business. I teach harp at Duke and UNC-Chapel Hill, and am well known in the music community. In addition to my classical and orchestral performances, I am an active harpist performer for special events, weddings, parties, and corporate events. I love to give my all when performing and engage with the people I am entertaining. My flexibility as a performer allows me to be active both on the concert stage and as a soloist for special events. I have a broad repertoire that includes jazz, pops and broadway favorites. I have performed for many famous musicians including Johnny Mathis, Bernadette Peters, and the Moody Blues.
Recent televised performances included the opening reception for Bev Perdue's Governor's Ball and at Kay Yow's funeral.
About Me:
I am a classical harpist, teacher, and working mother of 3 children. I love music and the arts, and spending time with my friends and family. I enjoy meeting new people and being involved in the community.
My Ideal Customer is:
A discerning individual who wants quality and elegant music for their special occasion. Harp music is beautiful and adds a very unique touch of class to any event private or corporate. I like to contribute my best creative energy to the success of any event I am performing for, and I enjoy working with people to make that happen.
My Ideal Referral Partner is:
I am interested in working with professionals in the community who want something very special for their event.
As a professional harpist, I mix with a variety of interesting people in the arts, academic, political and business community. I am always excited to perform and give my best at every occasion.

Hey Laura, hope you can make it to the End of Summer "Social Hour" Trying to get a bunch of inSiders to meet each other offline. It's what I do :)
Hi Laura - I used to be a booking agent in the Northwest where we used harpists often for special events. Though I am not actively an agent at this time, I do keep my ears open. I may hear of something that would be more suitable for you than for me! Also, I am working on an old English sounding song in the studio. Maybe a harp track would work in well! Do you improvise or go strictly with written lead sheets?
On behalf of the Business Divas I would like to welcome you to the Group. We are women on the move and making a difference and we're glad you're making the journey with us! We hope you will attend our monthly Power Luncheons.
