Welcome to KimmiKay's Corner

In my corner of the world....

My corner of the world has changed quite a bit! As most of you know we've moved from NC back "home" to be near our family in Hammond, LA. So my corner has changed a lot as you can imagine.

It now includes: hot - spicy - cajun food, creole/cajun accents, aunts/uncles/cousins/parents/old friends, the university I went to and loved and lots of trains! The town we're has a train track running through the middle of it which is the center of the culture here. And - as my son, Payton, says we're surrounded by the best trees in the whole wide world. Big - huge beautiful incedibly old southern oak trees (think Gone With The Wind!).

We absolutely love(d) North Carolina and made an enormous amount of friends there.

By the way - we've re-opened Peak Automotive in our hometown of Hammond, LA!

Yes! Of course!
About my Business:
After leaving my career as a School Counselor to market our business, Peak Automotive, I found a new love. Being a people person, I found networking to be a part of my personality that I'd been clearly supressing! I fell in love with marketing and PR and quickly became very involved in local networking organizations and finding myself chairing PR committees.

Through marketing Peak Automotive we were blessed to be known as the "Triangle's Most Female Friendly Shop" and are very proud that the readers of Cary News and Cary Magazine voted for us as the Best Mechanic. Motor Age Magazine has selected us twice as one of the Top Ten Shops in the Country. Additionally, we were chosen as the Innovative Business of the Year by the Apex Chamber of Commerce.

We are now back home in Hammond, LA and have opened Peak Automotive down there.
About Me:
I love the New Orleans Saints and the LSU Tigers! Geux Tigers! I'm devoted to my family, friends and my two cocker spaniels, Bailey & Sam.
My Ideal Customer is:
Mercedes - BMW - Audi - Volkswagen owners
College Students
Women
My Ideal Referral Partner is:
Others in the automotive industry.

Schedule it and Show up. We all know how much better we feel after a good work out. I also use a preworkout supplement (homemade) and a great music mix to get me going. I also agree with the idea of getting a partner!

I just voted! Best of Luck. My grandson won a photo contest because of a request I made through social media so I know the power behind the "get out the vote" thru online networking.

Help a brother out!

Last year when Brian and I closed Peak Automotive in Apex he sold/got rid of his toolbox(es). He had proudly purchased - not long before - this fantastic, monstrous, amazing Snap-On Toolbox. In the world of mechanics, he had a "mac daddy" toolbox! Even I was in awe of it :)

Well after closing - he humbly and creatively now owns and uses an antique government issued blueprint filing cabinet which he put on wheels as his toolbox. It's quite a sight!

He has been entered into a contest to win a ne… Continue

Hi Kim,
Good to hear from you as well we should grab a coffee. Yes, Susan is rapidly expanding her home market of Atlanta Georgia for The Vista Group. We asked her to help out here temporarily. That was 3 years ago....Time flies and she's glad to be back home but misses her Raleigh Friends and is planning a trip back in the future.

Hey Kim,
Good to hear from you. How are you and Brian doing. We are not going to St John until the fall. It's our 25th in May so we are going to try a couple of different islands for a couple of weeks in May. Should be fun. How's Brian's doing at his new place. Tell him I said hello.
Bye

Hey yourself -

How's things? The project you sent me CMC Global, was shelved for a while, but got some new life this year - I'm expecting it to pick up again in March. Would love to meet in person sometime.
