I agree with the pp. Also, you may want to look for "any size" donations. When you ask for a specific amount, you might end up turning others away who would like to contribute, but don't want to donate $100.

Did this end up being rescheduled? Please contact me directly the next time you would like a donation. I would be happy to do it. I also help with fundraisers, if you would like some other ideas, please let me know. You can contact me at Kellie@Pa…

About Me:
I am happily married and a mom of four wonderful children, the two youngest are almost 6. Twins? Yes. Twins! I love being a mom (most days)

I have found as I get older, that we need to make ourselves happy to be better people.

My whole life I have been obsessed with my heritage. I am forever taking pictures, asking family questions and pulling out the photo albums. I believe that everyone's heritage makes up an important part of who we are. Some of the saddest things I have ever seen are family photo albums for sale at antique shows.

I started archiving my family's pictures and films a few years ago......... It's so amazing to look back at how things were. It helps me look forward and learn more about my self and those around me.

I feel that to be ultimately happy, things must fit together right. You have to be happy enough to get out of bed in the morning. You also have to be happy enough with yourself so you can be a good mom.

In my lifetime, I never held a job that I felt was "me". Except maybe when I owned my catering business.

I finally found a wonderful job (if you can even call it work) that compliments me.

I am a consultant for Heritage Makers (www.PagesofaLifetime.com). This storybooking company encompases everything that makes me.

I believe that everyone has a story to tell. I love helping people create storybooks for themselves.

I have been asked so many times "Who would want a story of my life?" We all think of ourselves as mundane and not interesting at all........ When I reply to these people "Wouldn't you love to have a book of your mother's life? Or how about your grandmother?"

The looks on their faces........ When they realize that their children would feel about them the way they do their parents.......

I actually was talking to a disabled vet a few weeks ago. He served in WW2. When I asked him about wanting his father's story..... his eyes filled up with tears in remembering and with self recognition.

I will never forget how just simple words can be so moving..

I am in the process of creating my Grandfather's story book. He thinks that his life is unremarkable. He is so wrong. Growing up fatherless through the depression and supporting his family through fishing. He is the person that I admire most in this world. Through all my questions to him, I hope to fill in as many blanks as I can to tell the story of his life.
What could be better than to have his life perserved for my children?

Everyone has a Heritage

Everyone has a Heritage

What does it mean to be a “Smith,” a “Brown,” a “Johnson,” or a “Jones?” What does your family name mean to you or to your children? What does their name mean in relation to who they are and how they live their lives? What does it mean to be American, Canadian, Asian, Latin or European?Perhaps more significantly, what does it mean to be a human being? Heritage through story answers these questions. Writing and reading that story is what gives heritage “roots” and the wr… Continue

Hi,

I just sent you a friend request since we're both in the business of families and telling a great story. I mainly photograph families, couples, and special events. Here's my website if you would like to take a look at my work. I hope to meet you in person some day at a networking event. I'll also keep you in mind when I meet couples as a possible referral. Thanks!

Craig

What a wonderful way to tell the story of someone's life! I've been after my mother for years to sit down and go thru the old pictures and write something about the people in them.

I hope your New Year is going well. We have posted an event for February 13th called "Divas after Dark" Entrepreneur and Social Networking Groups Spa Party? We're going to have a great group of business women attending! I hope you consider joining us. We are looking forward to community marketing and future collaborations among us.
Let us know if you’ll be able to make it, you’re unsure or if you are unable to make it. The last day to RSVP is Thursday, February12th, 2009. We are trying to get a head count in advance to make sure there is enough food, seating, etc
