Helping Businesses do Business Better

Great post, Justin. People who are in the 20% of those who earn 80% of the money continue studying and learning as it raises awareness of what really is possible for humans and their optimum potential.

Could not agree more. It's never been easier to learn something you want or need - make the investment in time and you'll be repaid.

You bet Olalah! On most weeks I average about 35 hours. I could do less, but my problem is that I really love what I do! I'm not in Friday afternoons and most Tuesday's I'm out, but I also host a radio show on Saturday mornings.

Justin- you've brought up an interesting point about who came up with 9 to 5 anyway. Personally, I'm more interested in "who came up with Monday - Friday". When I tell people that I'm not in the office on Fridays, they look at me as if I have 2 he...

About my Business:
Lukas Coaching measures success not by how much money we make, but how many lives we help change.

My team focuses on helping people develop strategies and action plans to become debt-free and find or create work they love. We don't stop there however; we actually help them implement those ideas in their lives.
About Me:
I'm a husband and father of 3 girls, all under 4 years old. I love it!

I'm self-employed and am the owner of Lukas Coaching. Many years ago I decided I needed to follow my passion and turn it into a business. I did it so rapidly that I found many business owners asking me to help them do the same. I absolutely love it!

The work I do consists of 3 things:

1. Helping small and medium sized businesses and their owners reach profitability quickly (I'm focused on 12 months or less)

2. Helping individuals discover their life's passion and turn it into income. It's almost always possible and many of my clients have gone on to create six-figure incomes while pursuing their dreams. That doesn't always happen, but it is a by-product of doing something you absolutely love.

3. I'm the host of Past Due: Radio, heard Saturday mornings in the Triangle on AM 1030 from 9 - 10am. I cover career and business topics and help my listeners and callers turn their passions into profits.
My Ideal Customer is:
Someone who is ready for a change and isn't happy with normal. If your ideas aren't working for you, then you need to find ideas that do. Don't just dream big... DO big!
My Ideal Referral Partner is:
CPA, attorney and anyone else who interacts with business owners.

Learn to Earn

I'm not a big fan of certifications and degrees. Statistics tell us that 10 years after college graduation, 80% of graduates are doing something completely unrelated to their degree.

I am a big fan of learning however. Books, college and community college classes, seminars, workshops, teleseminars, webinars, ecoaching, hiring a coach, mastermind groups; they all help you increase your knowledge.

And since we live in a knowledge-based economy, now is the time to learn. Increase your knowledge =… Continue

Twice the Work, Half the Time

On holiday weeks like this one I find it interesting that most of us get the same, if not more, work done as we do during normal weeks. But we do it in half the time.

What if every week were a holiday week? That's what happens in a Results Oriented Workplace (ROW). Do the work and leave. Who came up with 9 to 5 anyway?

Be Willing to Pay the Price

In his book Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell shows how nearly everyone who has become successful at something has put in a minimum of 10,000 hours working at it. From Olympic athletes to concert pianists, they've all committed and put in the time.

"If people only knew how hard I work to gain my mastery, it wouldn't seem so wonderfulContinue

Stop Planning

"Things may come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle." - Abraham Lincoln

Planning is great, but I have a feeling it's time for you to take action. I don't know what it is but you may have to jump into it. Start your business, get out of debt, take your wife out to dinner. Stop talking and start doing.

President Lincoln was obviously smart enough to get his face sculpted into a mountain in South Dakota. If it worked for him… Continue

I will have to talk with my husband. The soonest would be next week. The hard part would be getting out there. He is in the store from 9 am to 7 pm just about every day. He definitely needs to be a part of it b/c he has some ideas of what he is looking for. Are you available to meet early (like 8 a.m.) and are you willing to do a consultation out of the office? Thanks

I wanted to speak to you about the retail business my husband and I own. He is finally convinced that we need to locate someone who can review what we have done and what we are doing to see what we can do better. This covers everything from marketing to inventory per sq foot. I know he spoke with David Kellerman today, but David wasn't sure he could be of assistance since his forte is not the retail business. Are you the guy I'm looking for? Or do you have any suggestions?

I am currently out of town, but will be back on Saturday. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks!

Thank you for your welcome. Have owned my own companies for almost 25 years and not sure what I will do now. I am looking for a sales position now. I'm working a small consulting project and helping a small company with sales. If you have any ideas...let me know. Thanks!

Hey Justin, I hope you are well. Just wanted to touch base with you. We should get together again to brainstorm how we can help each other in our businesses. Maybe over a cup of coffee or at my office in Apex. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hey Justin... thank you for leaving a message on my wall. I have updated my page to match my website. I have not been active in the past year on Inside919 and things have changed. I am still involved with the air purification business but am now focusing more on what I love to do.

Thanks for the link you provided ... I will definitely review it.
