About my Business:
I operate a small art instruction business together with my business partner, Lara Visser. We are both ex-South Africans from Cape Town who attended art school as kids. We want to share our wonderful experiences with children and adults here in our new home of Cary NC. We offer after school art programs in schools, summer camps, birthday parties and professional teacher training.
About Me:
I am a transplant from South Africa, and love living in the beautful community of Cary. We enjoy Bond Park and the lake, the friendly neighborhood and the excellent services. I am active in Fine Arts League of Cary and Visual Art Exchange in Raleigh. I teach part time at Wake Techincal College in Cary in Continuing Education, as well as at Cary Senior Center, Apex Community Center and Jerry's Artarama in Raleigh. I am the Art Director at Follow the Child Montessori School in Raleigh. My personal interests include making art in many media including acrylics, collage and pastels, seeing indie movies at the Galaxy Cinema, enjoying the Cary libraries and eating at the many great Indian and Thai restaurants in our area, when time and dollars allow.
My Ideal Customer is:
Anyone, young or old, who is open and willing to learn. I can teach anyone who can hold a pencil!
Hey Jillian, Wanted to take a minute and personally share the Local Coffee Break networking opportunity we're trying to foster to connect members and to let you know I'll be posting info on the 2009 Christmas party soon - please keep a look out.
Hi Jillian, We had some relatives in Johannesburg & I have another friend here from South Africa. Interesting. Good luck with your art classes & exhibits. Let me know when you have another showing.
That would be great. The donation deadline is October 1st. Just let me know the specifics on the item/s you will be donating. Do you need us to pick it up or will you be dropping it off? Are you planning on attending as well? It should be a really enjoyable evening!
If you will email your response to my assistant, that would be great. Her email is bhipes@gmail.com. Her name is Brooke and she is in charge of the donation details.

Hey Jillian, hope you can make it to the End of Summer "Social Hour" Trying to get a bunch of inSiders to meet each other offline. It's what I do :)
Hi Jillian - Thank you for connecting. I would like to personally invite you to our launch party on July 25th. Please RSVP per your availability. It will be fun with food, drinks and great conversations. A good opportunity to meet and greet. Cheers!!
Hello Jillian,
Glad Virginia invited you to join us. When time permits take a look at the Video Tours on the "Help" Page as they should help you better understand how to work things here, what works and what does not. Browse the Profiles and Groups and make some connections, contribute where you see the opportunity to share. Welcome!
