Recommendations Needed - Simple CRM system

Hi Gang! I need a recommendation for a software package that can help me do two things;
1) keep track of sales leads and activity and
2) tracks lots of little direct mail multi-stage projects.
We are a bootstrap start up and don't want to spend much at all. Any suggestions?
