this wall mural lives on a decaying shopping center wall that is marked for destruction. It is loved by the community of Hayti and has never been defaced other than by time. A special place worth saving.

SAVING BEAUTIFUL PLACES/EMILY WEINSTEIN'S BLACK WALL STREET MURAL

NOTE: This property has been sold and this beautiful monument to Hayti's Legacy may disappear forever. The canvas it was created on is now a decaying shopping center.

The Black Wall Street Mural, is more than an architectual ornament. Many came together to remember, preserve and rectify a great past. In 1999, with grants and support from others in the community(a complete list below), the project at 201 E. Lakewood Avenue began. It took six months to configure and two months of full-time… Continue

Tax Advice and Liability Insurance for Entertainers SOS

Many of the venues today require performers to have a special liability insurance, and understanding how to file and handle taxes has always been a problem for entertainers. One of my new projects, is a Magazine for Musicians. The publication includes helpful articles that address FAQ'S musicians have about business matters. I am looking for someone who would like to write a brief article on taxes or liability insurance as it relates to the entertainment business. I would include on a full page,… Continue

For Writers and Just Plain 'Ol Thinkers

Sometimes our creative processes get hampered by life's must do's, can't do's and whatever's. Finding a little space for creative inspiration may prove to be a formidable challenge. Maybe you are not sure there is a book inside you. Maybe you just don't know how to get started. If friends and family have been saying for years you should write a book, then maybe you should.

As those flashbacks of yesteryear--the good and the bad--race through your mind, carry a small journal, and note it imme

This Is Going To Be A Very Good Year Inside the 919!

I truly believe that this is going to be a very good year as our community continues to grow. We insiders are made of the right stuff! We know that if we dedicate ourselves and commit wholeheartedly to reaching our goals and realizing our dreams. . . We know that if we work together and support each other, we can shut out the grim reaper. and rebound from this down-turn, victorious! Gua-ran-teed!

Hi Jaisun,

I haven't made time to look at your new magazine, although I'm very interested. Thanks for keeping me posted about it.

I've added a Friends of Interact group here, just to be a presence and link back to Interact.

If you're speaking somewhere, I'd love to get an email invitation. As Pat Howlett likes to say, "You're on my radar."

Hi Jaisun: I have a book in longhand; but have yet to enter it into the computer. I have had a few publishers look at it, and while they were encouraging, It still is in long hand.
Take care,

Jaisun! I so enjoyed meeting you at Interact's Grand Opening for the Family Safety and Empowerment Center on Oberlin Road in Raleigh. You sing with an ease that put me far away from the harried pace of 21st century life. I wish I'd known about your book at the time. I am looking forward to reading it.

Thanks for your 5/17 positive post! Support goes so far, it's like magic.
