Profile Information

About my Business:
Guardian Angel Home & Pet Care is a service business that provides pet sitting, dog walking, pet taxi services, plant care, house sitting, administration of medications (including injectables), and general pet management services for domestic and exotic pets in the Raleigh and Cary areas.

Since our opening in 1998 we have provided services for hundreds of satisfied customers and are continually striving to grow and improve our company.

Guardian Angel HPC is Bonded and Insured for your protection, and we are members of the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS). Visit our web site at www.mypetsangel.com for more information.

Currently we are accepting applications from experienced animal handlers and technicians in the following areas who are interested in earning supplemental income. Areas of interest include Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Garner, Holly Springs, Morrisville, and Knightdale.
About Me:
A life-long animal lover, I have had the pleasure of working and serving in the animal care industry for over 30 years.

I have served as a Vet Assistant, a Veterinary Technician, a Lab Manager at NCSU'S College of Veterinary Medicine, and a Veterinary Hospital Manager. In addition to serving on numerous pet focused committees, I have served on the Boards of Directors for the SPCA of Wake County and Chatham Animal Rescue and Education.

I also served as the Shelter Manager for the SPCA during their development of and transition to their new no-kill adoption facility. Additionally, I have and maintain current Certification in Pet First Aid and Pet CPR.
My Ideal Referral is:
A dedicated pet owner; a person who takes the phrase "quality of life" seriously and makes it a priority when it comes to their pet(s). This person sees a pet as a "gift", not a piece of property. They see the pet as an enhancement - a blessing if you will, in their own life, and they treat them accordingly.
My Ideal Referral Partner is:
A satisfied customer!

My second-best referral partner is someone who understands the depth of the human-animal bond and that our mission is to help maintain or to enhance that connection or relationship.

Once someone understands what we do (TO SERVE), and why we do what we do (TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF THE PET AND THE PET OWNER) referring us becomes easy.

Have you ever experienced losing a pet?

Posted on July 30, 2010 at 12:54pm 5 Comments

As a pet owner, life long pet lover, an animal advocate, and a former manager of the SPCA of Wake County I know what it feels like to lose a pet. I also know what it feels like to find a lost animal and not be able to locate the owner. Conversely, I have also experienced the "high" that you feel when you see a pet and its owner reconnect. It is an amazing feeling--a high that you never want to come down from.

The emotions I speak of combined with the financial impact on the pet… Read More

Hi Dennis,
I wanted to reach out and invite you to my BNI's Visitors Day this Thursday. Of our 11 member, 10 are dog owners. One of our members even helps run an organization that helps with the adoption of senior dogs. We are actively seeking someone in your profession as one of our regular subs from another group is in your same field. I've included the link below with the event details.
My best,
Nick Putnam

Thanks for getting back to me, Dennis. I tried getting into your new site when I got the announcement but was unable to do so. I always get a message that I can't get in because my profile on Inside919 is incomplete. That's a total mystery to me, since I completed all the fields in the profile form and I can never find any part of my profile that is pending completion. Is there any other way of getting into your new group besides through Inside919? If so, please CALL me at 954-9745 or email me directly at writeasraines@gmail.com anytime tomorrow after 10 a.m. or over the weekend. Thanks for your help. Karen
