About my Business:
Ecorations, LLC. is dedicated to promoting planet stewardship by offering environmentally friendly fabric gift wrap and accessories and aiding consumers to reduce landfill waste. We strive to grow our business into a nationally recognized brand associated with first quality products for gift giving and celebrations that are stylish, economically savvy and kind to the earth. Product innovation, conservationism and a dedication to providing superior goods and services for the environmentally conscious consumer are the cornerstones of our business.
About Me:
I am a marketing specialist and entreprenuer. I co-founded Ecorations in April 2008 with my partner Kathy de Jong. I spent the previous 6 years of my career working as a brand manager, product manager and marketing consultant at Kimberly Clark and MeadWestvaco. I also have a finance background and worked in NYC for various investment management boutiques. As native of Bogotá, Colombia, I returned to my homeland early in my career to start a telecommunications business.

I earned a BS degree in Finance from Baruch College, part of the City University of New York and an MBA in marketing from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. I enjoy running, dancing and traveling. I'm married, have a beautiful daughter and am expecting a son.
My Ideal Customer is:
Ecorations is predominantly an on-line retailer. As such we strive to reach out directly to consumers. However, we are also beginning to explore partnerships with select retailers that will buy our product wholesale. Below is a description of our ideal consumer and our ideal customer will be those retailers whose clientelle fits that bill.

Ecorations fabric gift wraps and bags bring an air of elegance to any gift giving occasion. Our product is ideal for the educated woman that values herself, the environment, and the presentation of a gift. The Ecorations consumer uses our unique, stylish and chic gift wraps to represent her sophisticated identity; all the while knowing that she is doing a good thing for the earth. She may use a bag as the gift itself, as part of the gift - a little something extra, or adopt a green approach with family and like-minded environmentally conscious friends, and save the bag for the next gift giving occasion. In the end, she stands out and makes a difference.

Hi Debora, we don't currently have plans to interview anyone else on Inside 919, but we're featuring other people on the blog, such as the designer and author Tori Hartman, and some new jewelry designers we've stumbled upon. Best way to check things out would be to read over our blog, Kala's Bohemian Blog at http://www.ExploreYourSpirit.com/blog and you'll see features there in the Beauty and Fashion section. Once there, contact me offline, via the contact form for the show, go to http://www.ExploreYourSpirit.com and click on the Contact Form. Looking forward to chatting with you soon, All the best, *~Kala~*
