yes
About my Business:
When you started in business; what did you dream that you would do with the profits?

Were you going to buy the big house at the beach? Maybe you were going to start that college fund for your children. Were you thinking of traveling the globe? Perhaps you were hoping to finance a project helping others or your community.

How is your business going now? After paying for healthcare benefits and employee salaries, are you considering a good month to be more than just covering the Mortgage, the Electric Bill, or paying for Cell Phones?

How many times have you said, “Once I get past this obstacle I can move my business to the next level”? How do you plan on taking that next step?

Our Team of Revenue Growth Specialists can help you, if you are serious about bringing income into your business.

When you have a full pipeline of qualified opportunities and the orders are coming in the door, how do you feel about your business?
About Me:
For over 20 years in sales I've climbed the business ladder, from small companies to the ranks of the Fortune 500. At the zenith of my corporate career I was making a good six figure salary running 12 states for ADP. With more frequent flyer miles than smiles from my children, I decided to hang it up and move on to the next chapter in my life.

So, after 3 long years and a saga that requires a cocktail or two to tell, My family of four is now living in North Raleigh.

My wife Emily works in the business editing our online daily newspapers:

Cary Daily Times
Wake Forest daily Times

When she's not chasing after a story she's chasing after our two children: Justin, 9 who is attending Brooks Elementary and hopes to design robots at MIT; and Brandon, 5 who is attending St. Marks Preschool when he's not playing with friends in the neighborhood.

On most weekends I can be found in the yard landscaping or in the house working on remodeling projects.

If I can get away I prefer to go boating or to the beach.
My Ideal Customer is:
A small business owner looking to grow. Retailers looking for more corporate business clients are a good fit. Business owners that are thinking about getting a loan for an improvement project.
My Ideal Referral Partner is:
Marketing firms, Advertising agencies and Public Relations companies. At The Vista Group we focus on the sales basics that turn a good marketing campaign into a real income driver.

Other good partners would be Lawyers, Accountants, Business Brokers, Financial Planners

Thirty Second Introductions - Element Six

It certainly has been a journey to this point. With six posts leading up to this point I would hope that you have heard enough to be interested.
By now our 30 seconds are probably about up and there too, I would hope that our audience has heard enough to be interested.

We have gathered our audience’s attention.
We told a story and allowed the audience to participate with us.
Our tie-in brought our opening remarks to our value which we have clearly stated in a way that separates us from our comp… Continue

Thirty Second Introductions - Element Five

I remember the conversation with my Father like it was yesterday. An engineer by trade and an excellent marketer he was trying to impart his wisdom on me at an early age. Around the table we sat with the newly purchased tools spread before us readying for another weekend project. He picks up the drill bit (a nice one, titanium tipped with a carbide shaft).

His story went something like this, “A man walks into a hardware store and asks the clerk where the drill bits are kept.” Then he turns to m… Continue

Thirty Second Introductions - Element Four

Often when I am sitting with new clients I hear about the excellent conversations they’ve had with prospects. We all have friends, relatives, and business acquaintances that we enjoy speaking with. A lazy Sunday afternoon with idle chit chat on the front porch or a pleasant cocktail party where we connect to friends are often fond memories.

Warm inviting sales calls are also a great time to meet and get to know those we do business with. That’s the point really though, isn’t it? Doing business?… Continue

Thirty Second Introductions - Element Three

As young adults, we used to frequent the piano tavern, “Howl at the Moon Saloon”. Imagine dueling piano players trying to outdo each other with whatever songs the audience happens to dream up.

There are the usual standards and we all would sing along (good thing it was loud since I can hardly carry water let alone a tune). There was dancing and laughter and just a general carrying on. We often left the tavern with smiles on our faces and feelings of exuberance and good cheer.

I think the reaso… Continue

Thirty Second Introductions - Element Two

I remember my days as a student in college. These days seem eerily like those.

As I sat in the sun drenched courtyard munching on a chilidog from the nearby street vendor, I remember thinking, “I really should be studying.”

Somehow the dry facts and figures of the physics chapter seemed far less alluring than the novel I had tucked away in my backpack. As I often sat in that courtyard between physics and calculus, I often had to choose between the textbooks and the novel. I was not a very good… Continue

Michelle, Thank you for this debate. You have eloquently stated some very thought provoking points. I think we both agree that as a consumer our purchasing power is greater now than it has been in a long time. Before we wield that power we are al...
