About my Business:

At Accountants One, we focus not on the placement, as many short-sited recruiting firms do, but on the people. By focusing on the people, both on the client side AND the candidate side, we develop long term relationships. About Me:

My educational background is a unique blend of social and behavioral sciences, accounting and business. During the course of my studies, I was blessed with the opportunity to serve with the Appalachian Service Project in West Virginia, study the behavior patterns of the various species indigenous to the Central American country of Costs Rica and assist a Wilmington-based nonprofit with their Construction-In-Progress (CIP) accounting.

My professional background has been as equally diverse. After completing my MS in Accountancy, I immediately passed the CPA exam and obtained a position with a regional CPA firm. Over the next five years in the Public Accounting industry, I served both as an Auditor and a Tax Preparer for clients in the nonprofit, healthcare and other miscellaneous industries.

After a close examination of my duties and obligations, I realized the portions that I found to be most fulfilling had little or nothing to do with accounting, auditing or tax. What I enjoyed the most about Public Accounting was developing and maintaining client relations and recruiting new talent to join the firm. This realization lead me to team up with Accountants One, one of Atlanta's premiere recruiting firms, to open the Raleigh office.
