Will you commit to adding 1 positive item to the Network each month? (it can be a Question, an Answer, an INVITE or really anything positive)
Yes
About my Business:
As Executive Vice President of Convey Ink, I provide strategic marketing information, write business plans, plan and implement public relations campaigns, create copy for websites and written materials and am involved in education initiatives. I am fascinated by all things marketing, even after 30 years in the field. I have been marketing in all kinds of companies from high-tech to logistics and was one of the original standards developers for EDI and EDIFACT. I continue my interest in computers working with email branding and encryption software.
About Me:
I have a wide variety of interests focused around local history, railroading, writing, community service, and the town of Apex. I am naturally curious about the history of the place I live, and continuously am researching it. When you meet me, I will probably tell you something about the local history or what obscure anniversary or observance is being celebrated on that day.
I work with a number of nonprofit and community service organizations from being Corporate Secretary of the North Carolina Railway Museum (New Hope Valley Railway). In conjunction with that, I am writing a book about the valley of the New Hope Creek, now called Jordan Lake. My activities with the Apex Historical Society dovetail nicely with this interest.
I have been working with the Apex Arts Council for a number of years, and handle their Art Around Town program, placing artworks of local artists in various shops and other locations around town. In conjunction with my writing, I recently started and lead the Apex Writers Guild, meeting once a month.
I love the city of Apex. I am also a member of the Apex Downtown Business Association and the Kiwanis Club of Apex.
I admire your passion and interest in the history of Apex. I think we should all be very familiar with the stories of the places we live in. Didn't I just see you at Virginiia Hawkins' studio on Wednesday? I look forward to meeting you in person at our next Inside919 social. Have a great day!
Monique
P.S. Keep me in mind if you hear of anyone needing vendors for a fund raiser in the area as I would be glad to help fundraise for a good cause.
Hi Bob
I'm so happy to see you here. It's just another place that I can see you and enjoy your company. I'm sure I will be seeing you soon about and around Apex.
Hello Bob,
Glad Drew invited you to join us. When time permits take a look at the Video Tours on the "Help" Page as they should help you better understand how to work things here, what works and what does not. Browse the Profiles and Groups and make some connections, contribute where you see the opportunity to share. Welcome!
PS. Come on Bob - add a bit more here so that someone has a reason to make that 1st hard to make contact. Almost did not approve you and I know ya.
