About my Business:
My business is Carolina Brite Ceilings. We clean acoustical ceilings as well as other ceiling and walls. Our cleaning process is enzymatic. It's non toxic, sanitizing and non bleaching. The cost to clean a ceiling is a fraction of the cost of replacement or painting and does not ruin the acoustical value and fire rating like painting. It increases light reflection and improves your business appearance and image to the public. There are no lingering odors. We do all the work without interupting your business.

MY BUSINESS IS LOOKING UP
About Me:
I am a native of Florida and a big Florida Gator fan. I moved to the Triangle from West Palm Beach Florida in 2005. I play golf and have a golf game of moderate skill with moments of brilliance. I play racquetball a few times a week at the Morrisville Aquatics and Fitness Center and am always looking for a game.

I am an avid Boston Red Sox fan who, until a few years ago, suffered every year.

I am a mystery reader and fan of Lee Child, Robert Parker, Stuart Woods, Michael Connelly and other authors. I believe that a book is good when, after you finish reading it, you feel a loss.

I'm married to Lauren and together we have three children. One son in Boston. One son in Las Vegas. One daughter in Minneapolis. We have three grandchilren as well. Those who know me have a hard time believing that.
My Ideal Customer is:
Restaurants, nursing homes, hospitals, retail stores, hotels and motels.
My Ideal Referral Partner is:
Commercial real estate leasing agents, property managers

A Partially True Story

$5.37.
That's what the kid behind the counter at Taco Bell said to me. I dug into my pocket and pulled out some lint and two dimes and something that used to be a Hall's cough drop. Having already handed the kid a five-spot, I started to head back out to the car to grab some change when the kid with the Emo hairdo said the harshest thing anyone has ever said to me. He said, "It's OK ! I'll just give you the senior citizen discount."

I turned to see who he was talking to and then heard the sound… Continue

Off the Wall and Off the Ceiling

Without Inside919 and without Jim Vogel's creative musings, I would never have had a blog or a title for a blog.

We are blessed to be living in the Triangle. One weekend you can take a 3 hour drive east and be at the beach and the next weekend you can take a 3 hour drive west and enjoy the cool of the mountains in July.

I've found that when my mother-in-law comes to town, I am suddenly able to be very busy away from the house.

Two hour games of racquetball are bad on my knees. Maybe someday I… Continue

The Battle of the Idle Thoughts

June 30, 2009

Every time I type the year 2009, I pause and say to myself "can that be?"

I would like to find the person who brought the first Japanese beetle to North Carolina. I'm sure Jim Vogel believes it came in a Toyota.

I used to complain about construction workers hammering early in the morning. Now the silence is deafening.

I just found a free spell check app on my Iphone. If I could ever learn to use my Iphone, I could take over some third world countries.

Speaking of third world c… Continue

A Light Post at the End of a Rainy/Snowy Day

Last weekend I saw something at Larry's Pistol & Pawn Shop that sparked my interest. The occasion was our 15th anniversary and I was looking for a little something extra for my wife, Julie. What I came across was a 100,000-volt, pocket/purse- sized tazer. The effects of the tazer were supposed to be short-lived, with no long-term adverse affect on your assailant, allowing her adequate time to retreat to safety....??

WAY TOO COOL!
Long story short, I bought the device and brought it home. I… Continue

This Only Happens Once A year

It happened yesterday, February 10. I began anticipating it's arrival right after the holidays. From the first of February, I eagerly darted to the mailbox when I got home from work everyday holding my breath as I open the door of my mailbox to peek inside to see if it has arrived. Yesterday, it was there. I walked it back into the house cradling it like a newborn. I was shaking with excitement. It was Christmas all over again. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue had arrived and was on my kitc… Continue
