I agree with Rob - offensive terminology has its roots in intolerance. Since I believe in being tolerant of everyones right to celebrate their specific day - come one, come all and let's celebrate!

What's Your Favorite Holiday Decoration?

No, this isn’t a Bluemoonistic Image that you can purchase! This is a “memory” that we hold near and dear! It is a plastic “Alpine Village” that Dale purchased at a drugstore in December 1979 on a cold, snowy night to brighten our apartment! It was the Christmas after we were married and we… Continue

Think Blue Ridge Parkway for your next Family Vacation/Weekend

When was the last time you thought of a family vacation that included actually seeing the sights rather than “how fast can we get there”? When we were kids the joke was always about how many times we asked Dad “Are we there yet?” I'm sure you've all heard it and I also know how fantastic it must be to have DVD players in the cars these days to halt those questions. However, this year since we are all re-thinking our vacation plans due to finances, loss of jobs or lack of time, why not think of s… Continue

BEAUTY and the Beast!

Beauty is all around us and so is the “beast”. The ugly recession and negative vibes from so many sources is definitely the beast hiding in our closets and on our TVs! It has the possibility of consuming us if we don't use a positive attitude as a shield.

Beauty can help you strengthen your shield! Spring is all around us and signifies renewal, but many times we are too busy rushing out the door to work in the mornings, or getting the kids off to school to even notice. We all know that “stoppin… Continue

The Craft & Services Fair is on Dec 6th at New Horizons Fellowship Church (Apex) between 11 am to 2pm. The church distributed "seed" money to the congregation in hopes of multiplying the investment. 100% of all profits will be donated to local missions efforts. In addition to crafts there will also be random services such as power washing, landscaping, baked bread and BBQ by the pound! Seems like there will be something for everybody. :-) Hope to see you there!
