About my Business:: Pretty in Pink Foundation - 'when breast cancer is present and insurance is not.' We are a non-profit 501(c)3 and provide financial assistance to individuals in North Carolina who are either under-insured or have no insurance so that they can receive the life-saving treatments that they need.

About Me:: I am a native Tarheel who loves the following things:
my dog, Tabasco; shag dancing; music, especially beach music; reading; traveling; photography; golf and living each day to the fullest.

My Ideal Referral is:: Someone who has been diagnosed with breast cancer but does not have insurance or is underinsured. I'm also looking for individuals or companies willing to do a 3rd party event to raise money for the foundation or to become a sponsor of the foundation.

My Ideal Referral Partner is:: As a non-profit, we need to raise money by working with companies willing to do fundraisers or sponsor the Foundation. We want to make it a win-win situation for both of us. We can give you referrals and recognition for your generosity by publishing on our facebook page and our website. We want to make it a win-win situation for both parties because we always have people in need of different services and we can refer them to you.

Pink on the Greens Golf Tournament at Lonnie Poole Golf Course

This is going to be a fun golf tournament with lots of contests like 'hit the marshmallow the farthest', 'tee off with a tennis racket', hole-in-ones, closest to the hole with prizes from a sleeve of golf balls to a car. Twelve years ago, I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and had to go through surgery, chemo and radiation. The cost was staggering and I was so thankful that I had great insurance. Even with good insurance, the chemo bills were out of site. I was getting a bill 12 pages long front and back with the cost of seeing the doctor, getting blood drawn, use of the chemo room, nausea medicine and chemicals. I received 3 different chemicals - the first one cost $5,000 each, the other two cost…
