About my Business:: The shows I perform changed minds and have the potential to save lives. Currently, I am performing my national solo performances "Mama Juggs, The Breast Health Show" and "The Men in Me: Our Fathers, Our Brothers, Our Son" in living rooms, beauty shops, churches, colleges, and theaters in North Carolina, across America and Internationally.

About Me:: I am based in Chapel Hill, was named the 2012 Emerging Artist in Drama by the Durham Arts Council.

I recently stepped away from my journalism career while working for The Story with Dick Gordon to focus on performing full-time. I continue to tour Nationally and Internationally with shows scheduled in Connecticut, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Nebraska and Hawaii. I have been invited to perform for audiences ranging from Benedictine Nuns at Sacred Heart Monastery to the University of Yaounde, Africa.

I'm a national-award-winning journalist having won numerous prestigious awards from the Harry Chapin Foundation for Hunger & Poverty, the National Association of Black Journalists, and an Emmy with (CNN)News for Exceptional Coverage on September 11th, 2001.

In 2010 while visiting the Cameroon rainforest, she reunited with her maternal Tikar tribe. Anita became the first African-American descendant since enslavement to return to the bush village, learn their native language and be honored with a traditional naming ceremony.
