About my Business:
I work with anyone who wants to sharpen their writing skills for business or who wants to venture into the world of creative writing. I edit books with a speciality in business and motivational books. I offer workshops (fiction, creative nonfiction, business writing, and poetry) and writing coaching. My website is www.aliceosborn.com for more info.
About Me:
Hi! My name is Alice and I'm a poet, freelance writer, teacher, editor, and author of Right Lane Ends, my first book of poetry (Catawba, 2006). Since I was in the fourth grade, I've wanted to be a writer. However, I didn't seriously jump into a writing career until 2003 where I found my voice through poems, journals, and stories. Writing poetry helps me examine the intricacies and ironies of life and relationships through sound, words, and images. I enjoy writing memoir poems in free verse (many of my poems spring from my childhood), as well as historical and narrative poems. In addition, I also teach memoir, journaling, poetry and fiction to adults and middle school students. My favorite section of the Sunday paper is the Arts and Living section of the News & Observer and on my nightstand you'll find books I need to review for Pedestal Magazine, along with a few nonfiction favorites such as In Cold Blood by Truman Capote and Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer. I grew up in the Washington, D.C. area and now live in Raleigh, NC with my husband, son, and daughter.

Alice, you did an excellent job explaining how to use articles to increase your website traffic at Final Friday. You have motivated me to get serious about writing and submitting. It always seems to get pushed to the bottom of the list, but you have convinced me of the value. Thanks!

Thank you so much for sharing your insights into Article Marketing with us today at the Final Friday Forum. You have really inspired me!
Alice, you are a true poet. The poem you read to me about your daughter brought tears to my eyes. You are so talented. I had so much fun shooting an interview you for AlishaTV! Congrats on your Teaching in Schools adventure.
Hey Alice, wanted to take a minute to share that it was great to see you yesterday morning and thanks for helping me feel so welcome. It's always good to see another 'inSider' when I'm out and about. Thanks!
