We have had incredible success working with Franchisees. Are there any contacts that you all could introduce me to that we could talk to about helping them increase revenue?

I need to know who is in charge of holiday employee gifts @ SAS, Bayer, and BASF locally. Thanks! I will meet you before exchanging any connections, if you prefer.

Edward,
Great question! Typically, this is the mindset of the corporate individual because they feel that the relationship/sales process is so labor and time intensive that a mistake could jepordize business. I guess fundamentally, that could be right. But, it could be on how the introduction was set up from the begining. Here's an example that I use:
Ed, hey, I spoke with Bill the other day. He is an X, and is looking to connect with someone in your field. I told him that I know you and that I would make an introduction. I don't know where this will lead, but, talking never hurt anyone. I'm going to copy you both in an email so that you can start some dialog.
You see, I am not attached to the outcome. I am not invested in anything other than the introduction. Remember, it's not about me.
I hope that this will help.

Hello Everyone,
I have one question about this process. I love helping people grow their business. ( I do it thru BNI mostly, I've been in it for about 7 years now.) But first things first. How do I know the people I help are going to make me look as good as I make myself look?
I love helping folks, but if you stick your rep out there you don't want someone to mess that up. I guess we need to have a get together so we can get to know each other. I hope I'm not sounding silly but it only takes one bad word to do away with 5 thousand good ones.

Dave,

There are 1 of 2 types of ultimate connections that Granville County Habitat for Humanity would appreciate having:

1) someone or some business that could fundraise or make a large financial donation, say $10,000 to 25,000. That way, we could use that towards getting the next house built and not worry that we don't have enough funds to get it going.

OR

2) We would like a group of 2 or more people that would consistently come to our Re-Store on either Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays to run/manage the Re-Store [we're already open on Tuesdays and Saturdays) - Training would be provided!!!

David, I received an email from one of the members of Visionaries Business Network. Ron Williams gave me rave review about the Group and the last meeting. Looking forward to seeing for myself.

All the best,

Dane
