This is the new sign for the new Family Safety and Empowerment Center on Oberlin Road in Raleigh where Interact has its offices.

Purpose. The purpose for having an inSide919 group for Interact is to create visibility for InterAct in this dynamic community. It may give members the chance to ask questions or know someone to connect with. This group can also create a bridge from inSide919.com to Interact.

Facebook. Interact invites your support on the Interact Facebook Page, as well as on the Interact Cause page on Facebook. Even just adding yourself as a "fan" or "member" is valuable as it helps reach more people through your community of friends, and helps strengthen Interact's visibility.

Volunteering. Interact has a strong volunteer and intern program. The same training that is given to new staff is given to volunteers and interns. It starts with a 32 hour program.

Comment by Anora McGaha on October 28, 2009 at 2:59pm: October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. InterAct has been sending speakers all over the county to all kinds of groups and organizations to help educate and inform.

WUNC today, October 27, hosted InterAct Executive Directory, Adam Hartzell, to talk about InterAct's new collaborative center, and how raising public awareness of domestic violence can actually help prevent it.
