Triangle Creative Professionals & music options

As a musician & songwriter, I am often seeking other creative people with which to collaborate & brainstorm. Not only for music, but I have some artistic abilities as well. Being creative, luckily I am also a business person. Many creative people are not. So, for the sake of building a creative network of collaborators, brainstormers, supporters, and because I hate to pin myself to one discipline, I started a Meetup called "Triangle Creative Professionals". Here I am trying to promote gatherings with other like-minded creative souls who wish to take their creative talents to the next level. (This includes those who are using their talents in a hobby.) We are growing a little at a time. I am pleased that we have had a good reaction to a master-mind type format. You can feel the energy heighten in the room when each of us listens to & brainstorms over the creative challenges the others are expressing. If you are interested in checking this out, let me know. On another note, I am performing quite frequently. My challenge is to perform in places that have more people milling around on a regular basis as I am still in the early stages of building a "fan" following. So, if anyone knows of a good venue to check out, let me know! My music is jazzy-bluesy-folky-pop (Soulfully Nostalgic - cover songs from the 20s-70s and original music also crossing genres). In essence, I am pretty versatile as entertaining listening music or can stay in the background (though vocals are my forte) for parties, special events, restaurants & coffee shops, etc. Looking forward to 2010.... (Still have a few dates open in December.)
