How to Develop Your Business Intuition
Develop your business intuition
As hard as it might seem to believe, you’re receiving
intuitive messages all the time. Intuition isn’t something
that’s reserved for ‘special’ people. You don’t have to be
born into a psychic family in order to be intuitive. Nor do
you have to be a woman. Men receive just as many messages as
women.
Contrary to what you see on movies, intuition isn’t all
about foretelling disasters. Or picking lottery numbers, for
that matter! Intuition offers insight and clarity. You can
think of it as your normally silent subconscious giving you
little bits of inspiration.
Like hearing or sight, your intuition is technically just
another sense. Some people have to wear glasses to improve
their vision. And the same concept holds true for intuition.
While everyone has it, most people need help to improve it.
Especially in the business world where left brained,
analytical thinking tends to be the standard.
So what can you do to develop your business intuition?
Here’s an interesting exercise that’ll give you some
intuitive food for thought.
Step 1
Think of a situation that you need clarity on. Perhaps
you’re always working hard, but never making significant
gains, and you want to know what’s blocking you. Maybe
you’re thinking about starting a new business and you want
to know if it’s a positive move or not.
Step 2
Formulate a question. Take the situation you’re thinking
about, and turn it into a question. For example, if you’re
thinking about starting a new business, your question might
be: “How will this new business affect my financial
situation?” Or if you’re considering a major advertising
purchase, you might ask: “How will this new ad affect my
business?”
Step 3
Close your eyes… take a few deep breaths… and clear your
mind. Don’t think about the question. Just relax your mind
for a minute.
Step 4
After a minute, imagine a telephone is ringing. Pick up the
telephone. The person on the other end says a single word to
you. That word is the answer to your question.
Step 5
Over the next few hours or days, keep an ear or eye out for
situations involving your ‘word.’ Now that you’ve been given
your word you’ll begin to see or hear it more often.
Throughout the day it might randomly pop into your mind.
Keep an intuition journal and write down instances where
your word appears. If it pops into your mind, write down
what you were doing when it happened. By doing this, you’re
gaining clarity as far as how the word applies to your
situation.

Great Blog, Jessie I am a true believer in being able to live your life, to some degree, by "gut" instinct. People are equipped with this GOD given talent bue we are molded in this society to agree with or conform to the norm and we often forget about what is already inherent in most of us and that is intuition.
