Come out and join us for a bite! A handful of entrepreneurs and small business owners have joined forces to create a series of weekly lunch events. There will be open networking followed by a featured speaker.
Alice Osborn will be our featured speaker on Thursday, November 8. The topic of her talk will be: "How Becoming a Published Author Can Give Your Business A Boost!"
If you’re serious about giving your business a boost, you’ll need to write a book! Writing and self-publishing your motivational, coaching or sales training book will transform you into the sought-after expert in your field. And if you wish to gain a speaking platform, being an author will certainly open many doors for you. In this can’t miss talk, published author and professional editor Alice Osborn will discuss the mechanics of self-publishing your book, along with getting your book out to your audience through proper marketing and publicity channels. She’ll also discuss how you want to write the best book possible so that your audience will want even more books from you!
More about Alice:
Born in Washington, D.C., the winter after Watergate to a Masterpiece Theater-obsessed mother and Archie Bunker-obsessed father, Alice’s past educational and work experience is unusually varied, and it now feeds her work as a poet, as well as an editor, coach and marketing consultant to hundreds of writers. After the Steaming Stops is her most recent collection of poetry; previous collections are Right Lane Ends and Unfinished Projects. She has taught classes and writing workshops to aspiring authors of nearly all ages (from 9 to 90), both in person and online. Alice lives in Raleigh with her husband, two children and three parakeets: Woodbird, Birdstein and Perry. Get published now with Alice’s free writing tips at www.aliceosborn.com.
The cost is $12, and lunch is included. Come join us and invite a prospective client to deepen your relationship. Be sure to bring plenty of business cards.
