For me, it's not a matter is understanding "why" but how I can make my business appealing enough for folks to engage in this space. I see this being much easier for some businesses. fused180 clearly should be someone to consider when exloring such an option. The bar for engaging clients and consumers keeps getting raised. We clearly need to learn how to participate in this space correctly and with purpose.

After 3 days of teaching what a small business needs to know about being Mobile Ready I am more convinced this is as critical to know as as when I wrote my first Social Media book a few years ago.
